Because I am a fan of sci-fi I wanted to take my oldest son to see some classics of the genre. There was a chance for it because Open Air Cinema Luna in Ravensberger Park cinema was displaying Spaceballs and I really wanted to watch it again - with my son this time. I bought tickets for the screening online, but the cinema requires you to collect them 15 minutes before the start of the film.
One of the women behind us started screaming that someone had taken her place. The cinema is not going to call the ticketless person to collect the tickets, so we just sat in the cinema for over an hour. It was a bit scary when she suddenly started screaming, it put me on the edge, so I suggested everyone to leave to the first floor, the cinema is located on the 3rd floor.
When we got back she went on screaming about all of the other people in the cinema. When I suggested we leave, she was really furious, so I walked away. When I looked behind again there was a woman with another man in the cinema because some people thought the screams were coming from their place. I started talking to that man and eventually he started talking to the two women with me. We left the cinema in the end and went back to the cinema to watch another classic
When I got the call on Wednesday night I asked the cinema operator what they had to say about it. Apparently it happens every week. They do not take anything into account and they do not care! We only came because I wanted to watch one of those movies with my son. I asked them that instead of giving me a refund, which I would be more than willing too, they could give me the tickets for free for one of those movies they advertise. They told me no (they won't make that option available by default), they said their "system" does not allow that!
They said we did not come to watch the movies for it, but to get a refund! My son, an 8-year old boy, told them that he'd rather play for a few minutes as they wanted to see the movie we paid for. In fact he went to choose some popcorn when I asked him to sit in the cinema and he went to the cinema's cash desk, even asking a worker to come and check where the "show" was!
Even their "show" is over! They just started showing 15 second ads for a "show" that is just beginning and the film should really start in 15 minutes!
I am not writing anything that is not true: they did not tell me anything in these three hours we stayed in the cinema (including that for this weekend we can get a refund for one of the 3 remaining movies because it is a free weekend); the cinema made more noise on his laptop than in his room at home (my son had to take a lot of turns and ask for quiet from the cinema's staff...
